Default does anyone have this anti-theft device???

alright heres the deal. I have gotten my eg6 stolen once on jan 1 of 2003 at valley fair mall in santa clara (what a way to start off the year) and now have a better eg6 with lots of mods to it already just need more anti-theft device, I already have a removable steering wheel, viper500 esp alarm, autolock, and a secret fuel cut-off switch. My next buy is this http://www.alphalock.com/ , does anyone have this? if so please tell me if it really works and how thick is the metal or steel on it?

THE BOOT!

I think a few people on this board have one...but a little excessive IMO. Most people just go with autolock

yes you clamp it on your rim. But its made of rubber so dont worry about it scratching or denting your rims. Not unless you throw it at your rims lol *that be really stupid*

I guess you might as well do that. Thats probably as close as you can get to stoping someone from towing or flatbedding your car.

It looks like it would work. But i don't know if i'd put it on my car.
Looks like you have to turn your wheel to just install it on your wheel. The thieves could just turn the wheel a certain direction and move your car still. Then your wheelwell would get messed up.

I would buy one...

To put on the cars of people that take my spot, I hate those fu****s. Viper recently released a tilt and jacking sensor for your alarm, check it out.

no kidding the bottom three would just get snapped off I bet.

But wouldint something like this just draw more attention? Im sure it would make it hard to steal the car, but it would get noticed and make a thief think "whats in that thing thats so valuable".

It sucks that people even have to get alarms. When I lived in japan I had absolutely no worries when I parked my eg6 at a mall in a dark alley or on base. I was so complacent that I would often forget to lock my car and I always had my cd case and sunglasse on my passenger seat.

I remember a product that I was gonna buy a long time ago for my bimmer, it was an attachment to your starter. I found the ad in one of the reputable Car tuner magazines. It used a chipped system that would only allow the car to start if you had the corresponding key. Kinda like the MB laser encoded key system. It was test proven to be reliable and I talked to them directly cuz I had questions about it. They said that even if you disable the unit, the car won't start and so on and so on. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, please hook me up with the name again cuz I might get one for my gf's civic.

I'm pretty sure he meant that by taking off the wheel protected by the Alpha Lock and replacing it with another, the thief would be able to drive off in the car.

Anyway, I just got mine off eBay less than an hour ago. Another good place to get it would be Harbor Freight Tools.

actually I was serious at the time. The ones I have seen go across the lug nuts so that would be impossible. But I guess after looking closer it's a shitty design my bad homies

screw all this anti-theft crap. Just get a GPS locater, then when your car gets stolen you can just go get it back.

Honestly... NOTHING will keep your car from being stolen if someone REALLY wants it..... But a combination of different anti-theft measures will slow them down.
