does any one have any track time on b16 in a ek hatchback
Im sorry with the same quetion about the eg with a b16 but im stuck on choosing a motor to buy my fund are not enough for a b18c so i would have to get something cheaper and i want vtec so im thinking about a b16a and i was wodnering can you guys post some track times of your b16s in you EK thanks.

b16 pwrd ek ran a 13.7 with a 75 shot intake and exhaust in the quarter and a 9.2@77 in the 1/8 all motor on street tires both times also had a full interior

get a b16a and put a b17a crank in it and bolt ons. thats cheaper than a b18c and u will be much quicker with that set up. the b16 w/ a b17 crank will put out more hp than the b18c and will also weigh about 52lbs less
then u can sell the b16 crank for $300 and do whatever you please with the extra cash
also the b16 tranny has much shorter gears

if i get a b17 crank , would it just be like a staight take out b16 and b17 and wouldnt have to change anything else/?

you dont think 1.7 liter b16a2 with i/h/e will make mor power than a b18c1.
lets see
jdm b16a2 170 hp stock usdm b18c1 170hp stock
b17 crank + 8-15 hp
i/h/e + 5-10 hp
total 183 - 195 flywheel hp 170 fly wheel hp
And like i said before the b16 weighs less so the power to weight ratio is much better than b18c.
