How are you going to be able to tune the a/f without a o2 sensor?
You need an o2 sensor to tell you weither your running rich or lean, i mean you could tell by smelling it but that could cause problems down the road https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif |
Re: Do you need O2 sensor with Uberdata P28?> (CrazyCRxXx)
you dont need an o2 sensor to run it if you disable closed loop. the ecu will run it as is off the fuel map and not compensate for the lean or rich conditions. not ideal in my book, but its a good option to use if u are testing or widebanding your setup.
in summary, use ur o2 sensor unless you have a damn good reason not to. |
yea the 02 sensor is going to be your primary source of info for tuning unless you have a dyno and rock at tuning.

As B16Drag said - you do NOT need an O2 sensor in order to run Uberdata, so long as you disable closed loop operation - but its not the best of ideas.

Thanks, i am not running O2 now, it is tuned, I do have the Uberdata system. I think it would be wise to get a O2 Bung welded on Huh>
