Well the title says it all, I'm thinking of changing the plugs this weekend but don't have a torque wrench, will i be ok without one,

I dont think you're suppose to torque them. Just a lil tighter than snugged.

I used to never tourqe my plugs on my old car, and it never seemed to hurt anything, but sometimes they'd come loose. THere is a tourqe spec in the helms (I beleive it's 19lb/ft) that I always torque to now, and I use anti-seize.

I don't like to mess around with the threads, so I always make sure they're tourqued properly. You can get a cheap wrench at sears (one of the pendulum type). You might think about getting one anyway, I usse mine all the time. Cheap investment.

I usually put em in hand tight with a socket and extension and then turn em 180 degrees with a rachet.

That's how I do them as well.

It'll say on the box. They say to turn them in until they seat, then like 1/4 to 1/2 turn or so.
