Do they sell new headers for a Cx/Vx hatch?
I got a 93 VX hatch and really dont want to have to spend 250 on a new cat converter.
Do they sell manifolds that just bypass the cat and fot the cx/vx model?
THe cheap ones on ebay say they fit but I wanted to check.
Anyone know?

the issue with the VX is the location of the O2 sensor. It's critical it remains in that location. With the EX style header you're mpg and driveability will drop.
If I remember right, IN doesn't have emissions testing... have a small local muffler shop make you a piece of pipe to bypass the cat. (larger chain stores will never do this)

Cab't bypass the cat because it is connected just below the manifold. Is there anyway I can tap an ebay header to keep the oxygen senson?

I ran with the cat bypassed for a little while when I had my VX. It's not as easy as a typical cat bypass but it still can be done.
the design is the issue, there should be an O2 location in the ebay header, but not where it needs to be... and since the merge of the cylinders is much further down, tapping into the header where the VX header is (closer to the head) will result in it reading one one cylinder, and it will run very rich and likely set a CEL.
If you really want a cat, search junk yards, the VX and CX cat are identical. And they last for a long time as long as you don't run the car super rich.
