You might want to install them if you plan to run say 120 mph for hours at a time otherwise it's not necessary.
I've taken apart my LS/Vtec with no oil squiters and the piston bottoms where nice and shiny with no burnt oil.

If you are running forged pistons, squirters aren't a huge issue...
The Forged Pistons disapate the heat pretty well...Unless you are gonna be running the car HARD for long periods of time (Not Dragracing). Then it might be worth the time, etc...
Put it like this...You can do more harm doing a shitty squirter install, than you can by not running them.
