Do I use the B16A power steering Pump?
How do I hook up power steering on my SiRII B16A swap into my 94 Si? Which pump do I use?
I searched and didn't find a definitive answer, and I want this swap to go smooth.

I'm just thinking now that I use the B16A power steering pump (that comes on it) and my factory hose will bolt right up to it. Afterall it did come in an EG.

i have a b16 swap on a 93 but i think he used a the 93 pump because it doesn't line up good at all with the pulley and then the b16 ps bracket doesn't fit it perfectly i have to leave the belt loose or the pump clicks and shakes. I was wondering this exact same thing.

So there's no chance the D-series pump will work on the B-series braket or something? That way I wouldn't have to bleed the system. But it sounds like you're saying to use the B16 pump?

It's been a while since I've seen it, but the way the pump mounted on the bracket is completely different. That's why I had to use the B-series pump. There is no real "bleeding" procedure for changing the pump. Install pump, add oil. Start the engine and top off the oil.
If you need, I think I have a few pictures for you to compare the pumps. Let me know.

i used my original power steering pump for my swap but using the one that came with the motor wont be a difficult task to do... u only have two lines to disconnect from the old one which is the pressure line at the top of the pump which should be attached with two 10mm bolts and the rubber return which is just a standard hose clamp. attach to the new one, top off with fluid, and now u got power steering. easy

Re: Do I use the B16A power steering Pump?
As Promised:
The major difference I see is the location of the tensioner. My other concern would be the side to side location...I'm not sure if using a D-series pump in a B-series mount will allow the pulley to line up.
Like I said, always go for the pump that goes with the engine.
