Do I need a new ECU?
Going to do a MINI-ME swap... dont ask, I dont want your opinion about how its a waste of money
But my question is, now since im using a 92-95 DX as the base, and 92-95 VTEC head with the solenoid and all the goodies on there, can I KEEP my DX ECU, and just pickup a Spoon/Mugen/Whatever else "racing" VTEC chip and throw that in there or must I pickup the VTEC ECU??

Re: Do I need a new ECU? (sparq)
sorry, you cant just throw a chip in it,i would either get a p28 (sohc vtec ecu) or just get a vafc(vtec controller/fuel controller),chances are if you want the bling bling you can get the apexi with the pretty blue screen for around $250,more than likely you will want one sooner or later anyway, but to sum it up,your ecu will not work with out alot of modification, you could contact katman on this board and he has chipped the non vtec ecu for vtec i think,i dont have a clue how much it costs though.

id try and keep it as stock as poss. running wires and switches, and dealing with activating the Vtec is a BITCH and a half.
