Hey guys, I'm getting ready to swap my GSR motor into my eg hatch, but I really want to make sure that I get all the parts that I need to change put on before I swap the motor. So far I plan on getting an OEM timimg belt w/tensioner, OEM water pump, and I was planning on getting a OEM oil pump, but do I really need one right now? Also, I have the SI model hatch, so will I have to mess with my wiring harness before swapping the motor? I know a problem arises with the secondary butterflies, but I have already removed the butterflies from my manifold, and had been running it without the two stage for quite sometime in my integra. If there is anything else that I need for my swap please let me know. Thanks for the help guys.

Just use the engine harness from the integra, the one that is on there now. It will directly plug into the chassis harness on the 92-95 and since the car is an SI and already has the vtec wires in the harness it will be plug and play. No re-wiring needed.

Thanks man for the info, now anyone think that I should change out my oil pump before I do my swap?

It's something that alot of people will tell you that it's your call, you don't have to but if you do it would be great. I went through the same situation and decided not to change it.

Thanks guys for your help...oh and if it helps any the motor has about 95,000 miles on the clock. Just want to get a couple more opinions as to whether or not to change the oil pump. I'm trying to do my swap right if it will prevent future problems. Also do you think that an OEM tensioner would be a lot better than say an autozone tensioner, does it really matter? Anyway thanks again for the help.

If it's got that many miles on it I would go ahead and replace it to save you from any future problem.

You will have to wire up the IABs and Knock Sensor unless you use a chipped P28 ECU.
