dizzy swap question
hey guys i converted a D16Y8 to OBD-I(alt, injectors, ecu, and the dizzy from my z6) and the only code im getting is 19(the ecu is from an auto)... my problem is the car is turning over and i have not been able to get it started yet... i know im getting fuel so i think my problem is my dizzy since none of the mounting points lined up correctly and i had to modify it to work... im not sure where to set it for timing, but wouldnt the motor at least try to fire up if the timing was off? if someone could let me know if its possible to use this dizzy or give me some options on how to get this thing running it would be greatly appreciated... thanks guys

not always... depends on how far the timing is off... if its out 180 it'll never start. Find top dead center on number 1 cyclinder and make sure it corresponds with your distributor, and while your at it check and make sure the plug wires are in the proper order.
