Default dizzy issue

My ignition timing is retard and I have more adjustment to advance it. Its causing it to run really rich. Alot of hesitation at low rpm. Is it my dizzy? My mechanical timing is dead on.

Erg. You said that.
What car? What mods? You're leaving out something.

Not really. Not enough info on your build. Is this a new issue? Just started happening?
Not.
Enough.

Sorry man. Well I bought this dizzy new off eBay a couple years back for my b16. Seemed to work fine other than the position of the dizzy to get the ignition timing right seemed way advanced but after checking with a light it was dead on so I just drove it as is was and I never had any problems. A couple months back I decided to do a ls vtec. So I rebuilt a b18a1 block with b16 pistons and just reused my complete b16 head. I've checked the mechanical timing a hundred times and its dead on. But when I set up my ignition timing I always start in the middle and rotate towards the firewall till I've reached the correct posision via timing light. For some reason even with the dizzy rotated completely back its still off. I've tried multiple different base maps. I'm lost. Rotor button, cap, wires, and plugs are all good.

Are you jumping the service connector?

This is why you should just get a brand spanking new distributor with a warranty on it. I bought a "oem replacement" turbo for my Audi I had. It sounded like crap and boosted even worse than it sounded.
Don't go to autozone though... I'm on my 4th autozone distributor in less than a month..

I am having the same issue on a d16y8. timing is retarded. taking all bolts out and advancing far enough to were the bolts can be put on the outside of dizzy holes with washers holding the dizzy in place, it runs perfect. I am left with knock sensor (new one coming) or ecu.

not trying to thread jack, just letting you know that I am having same problem.
