Default Dizzy Frankenstien problems

Hello. cant remember my old username oh well...

anyway im working on my 96 civic its got a obd2a harness with a obd1 jumper harness on a p30 ecu. I have a obdII dizzy

i shortened my harness and did a wire tuck to it and im pretty sure i didint screw anything up. im getting code 15 ignition output signal. and no spark.. everything else works just no spark. so i went on the coil of my OBDII dizzy and its got a + mark and a - mark.. im getting power to both? the - mark comes off my ignitor so is this a bad ignitor? or did a mess up my wiring? any help would be appreciated.

Dumb question: Did you have the problem before the wire tuck?

unknown..... didint run when i got it. however i did not modfy anything on the dizzy harness....

further info shows on the yellow/green (ICM) wire going into the ignitor that i have 10.5 volts comming in.. but i have 12.3 volts goint to the - on the coil. BUT if i remove the black/yellow wire from the ignitor then i get 10.5 to the - on the coil.

anyone else hella confused? am i supposed to have power comming in thru the yellow/green (ICM) wire?

PM Clayton (our site administrator) and tell him your e-mail address. He may then be able to tell you your old user name.

Your voltages sound fine. Remove the igniter unit and have an auto parts store test it for you.

Also test the Yel/Grn wire (runs to ECU) for a short or open.

Both wires to the coil should have voltage. Neither is a ground wire. Coil voltage grounds to the coil spring, the distributor cap points, the plug wires, and the spark plugs.
