Default DIY Topics

Okay guys, I have about 6 weeks off of work with very little schoolwork and am going to be doing some DIYs (writeups).

I need some suggestions for little things that you guys would like to see done. Don't ask for a whole motorswap or anything that requires a bunch of money, but if you have little DIY things, let me know. I'd be more than happy to help get this forum back up and running the way it should be.

Already on my plate: New tranny install and rebuild
JDM ITR 4 lug conversion onto an EK hatch
I may take my Sol seats back out for a day to show how
to get them into an EK

Aside from that, I don't know what is a common problem that anybody would need help with. If you guys can think of some little common things that a writeup would be helpful for I would more than likely get it done.

Thanks tech guys, we're taking this forum back.

I can explain that one real quick. A lugnut is what goes on your wheel stud and holds your rims on. A 4 lug setup is what most of us have on our Civics (4 lugs x 100mm for the whole thing, or 4x100). I'm putting on a 4x114.3 setup from a 96 JDM ITR on my hatch (when writeup will be done). The newer ITRs (all of them in America) got a 5 lug setup (don't know how big it is though).

i'm sure a DIY for removing interior pieces such as door panels, windows, seats, climate control, etc. would be helpful for all the noobs that don't search for anything.

I'll do the door panels, but the seats are 4 bolts so I'm not doing that. As far as the climate control, I've had all of that out so many times and I don't always put everything back, so it might not be a good idea.

Next weekend i'll have a COMPLETE transmission/clutch/flywheel install writeup this time with PICS. Can't think of anything else that I'm gonna be doing, i'll probably have a lip install DIY next, and when I rebuild my head with iskey valvetrain and an exospeed cam i'll document that all too.

how about a suspension install...a lot of guys are buying suspension set-ups and having them put on at shops. When my damn ground controls finally come in the mail i'll take pics and do a write-up (ground control/koni yellow) unless someone beats me to it.

it would be nice if there would be ONE complete list of DIY project/pages, and instead of many many different post, i know there's one already sticky, but that's too many pages.

if anyone needs a powerpoint on how to adjust your valves..i did it for a small presentation in one of my classes....

its just a brief explanination of the job and sorta bland and quick cause i did this in front of my class with guys and girls...i didnt want to bore the class too much..

oh and its for a b series vtec motor ..but for the clearances you might need to ask around for those...cause i dont know if you want to use the same ones i used..

*edit..
or if you want me just convert the ppt to a thread then whatevers...

Okay, I just went out and bought some 1500 grit sandpaper. This thread has got me motivated to clear up my cloudy *** headlights as well.

My headlights are already gunmetal from me, but I'm going to redo them black, but since there's already a DIY on that, I'm not going to make another one.

I guess a DIY on how to clean up cloudy headlights will be done by Monday.

Go for it. As basic as it seems, it will help someone on here.
