1996 civic ex coupe

When I bought the car, the passenger power door lock does not work with the switch on the drivers door. Only the drivers door works. I have read about this and came to the conclusion that this could be the door lock actuator...However my drivers power lock is not strong and it barely has the power to go up and down sometimes..Could this be that both the actuators are shot or that the power from unit is shot ( the blue rectangle seen inside door panel)?

The weak driver side problem could be a bad actuator or a mechanical issue with the lock mechanism.

Run power and ground wires directly from the battery to the passenger actuator plug. If the actuator doesn't work, replace it.

lol i think i've had this problem w/ all my ek civics. usually it's the actuator in which case i think you will have to replace the whole latch assembly. just puttin in my .02. ronj seems to always have good advice so start there.

actuators are pretty common on alot of cars ive worked on and they are pretty simple to change. do what ronj said that is an easy diagnosis
