Yeah, it's really a waiting game. I picked mine up for $50, shipped from Japan. They're about as common as dirt over there, so just wait it out. Keep an eye on hondamarketplace.com.
Also, I wonder if anyone has used my template? (Earlier post.)

^ Nicely done. Note that the instructions are pretty generic so even though they are for a sedan, they work for coupes and hatchbacks too. However, after I was studying my own copy of the instructions a few months ago, *I believed* the template applies only to the sedan bumper. The coupe/hatchback is a slightly different shape (hence the different bracket) so the sedan template will get you pretty close but might not be an exact fit. However, when I drilled my own bumper ages ago, I noticed that there were tiny little dots/bumps on the underside of the bumper in the corner which is for aiming the centre of the hole saw. (See my earlier post, prev. page.)

Re: DIY Parking Pole on LHD Civic
Hi everyone...
very nice info thumbs up.
I have question...how much the EK civic parking pole differ from the EG and can we use EK civic parking pole in a EG?
If it is possible then what modifications are required for that?

Re: DIY Parking Pole on LHD Civic
^ An excellent question. Here's the answer: Yes, it can be done because I've done it. Only, the section of pole between the lock nut on the bumper and the motor is longer on the EK than on the EG. Therefore, you must mount the motor lower on the bracket. IIRC, you can position/test fit the pole on the bumper then guesstimate where to drill the holes to accommodate the lower mounting point of the EK pole on the EG bracket (I actually recommend you design your own LHD bracket based on my design plans earlier in this thread.) One thing I haven't confirmed is whether the EK pole is taller than the EG pole; I suspect it is but I've never compared the two side by side. I should do this.

Re: DIY Parking Pole on LHD Civic
Thankyou so much deschlong for such an encouraging reply to a new member so nice of you.
Yes I have noticed it the space between the tip of the parking pole and the motor of EK civic is longer than the EG civic parking pole and also the guide tube that contains the drive cable of the pole is also long and have a bend at the end as compared to the EG civic. Moreover the tip of EK civic pole has a metallic cap on it unlike the EG. So the pole must be longer and how will it look on EG civic is a question. And one other question will this EK pole accomodate in the EG hatchback bumper using the EG bracket.
However as you suggested if is mounted a bit lower on the EG braket will do the trick.

Re: DIY Parking Pole on LHD Civic
IIRC, there were a few different styles of tips even for the EG poles: Metallic cap like the EK, metallic "H" cap, and green "H" cap. Are you currently in possession of both poles? One other issue is that the bezel cap for the mounting hole in the bumper is specifically shaped for the EG ... I don't know that the EK one will sit properly. I had a bent EG donor pole and I merged it with a functional EK pole to make it suit my EG correctly - that's how I figured all this out.
