I would think a clear film over the fog should protect the lenses better. But not sure if the heat from the lamp will milt it.

Just a thought.

hell no.. it would melt real quick. just use 3 - 4 coats of clear on it and it should be alright. if it chips and stuff just use some paint thinner to take off the rest and redo the whole thing. it takes all of an hour to do.

well! if you look at the lemans cars, they got yellow HID's and yellow fog lights because at night and during wet conditions, yellow is the best light you can have

What if you painted the Inside of the Lens, wouldnt that keep it from chipping? Can you even get in there?

Just out of curiosity, has anyone considered modifying the Fogs to accept H7's? Back when I had my bimmer, we would modify the OEM fogs which usually took h1's to accept H7's and the light difference was amazing. My friend currently has aftermarket round fogs so I can't test the theory out but it looks like the size of the 96-98 Fogs would work with H7's. If anyone wants any info I can dig up the link to the directions.

Also, even using H3's in these fogs. If you were to run a higher output bulb, would that eventually start to eat away the film? I've tinted alot of tail lights and bumper lights but the light output difference made sure that they would not melt the tint.

Do the clear coats help from rocks from the road chipping the paint?

Sorry for bringing this back from the dead..............Again.
I really need to know the part number for the Krylon Yellow stained Glass spray paint.

I think I found a can...It says Yellow But the cap seems very Amber and not thin Yellow at all.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks, -Jeff
