diy headlights???
my headlights are boring and i dont like projector headlights. i want my lights to go through a lense instead of hitting being deflected off that little thing in the center, does anyone know how to do this or where to get the conversion kit?

If you want something different, you could seperate that glass from the housing and paint the inside gun metal. then get the black corner lights. thats what i did and it looks great.

If the bulb shines straight through without either an HID-type projector of some sort or the regular halogen reflector housing (with all the parts), it'll blind people and they'll hate you. Just retrofit HID projectors in there or do what civichatch27 said.

hids blind people either way, i've seen a couple cars on the road with lenses instead of deflectors... it projects the light a lot nicer and looks a lot better, thats what im looking for.

I'm also wondering about this. The genuine ctr headlamps do not have the deflector inside yet they are the same halogen design as the usdm ones.

If its a ricer with HIDs in his stock civic headlight housings, they do blind people. HIDs in BMWs and the like don't blind people. Lights that blind people aren't legal. It's ricer fools that put HID equipment in halogen housings that made HID retrofitting illegal in the first place. The spirit of the law is to prevent ricer HID conversions from blinding people, not preventing people from using HID technology in general.
