she starts then cuts off
i finally put this ls motor in that i got weeks ago....timing is straight and wiring seems to be ok...my problem is when i go to start it she cuts right back off...i have 2 keep gasing it to keep it on...i checked the sensors...the car (92 dx hatch) also has another map sensor on the body of the car with a hose stickin out of it....does any1 know where this hose goes to...

I dont think that other sensor is a map sensor. I think it is the purge valve for emissions. one should connect to intake manifold, and the other will connect to the charcoal canister.

Is the CEL ON?
Unplug the connector to the MAP sensor on the firewall and also disconnect the vacuum hose. Then plug the MAP sensor connector into the MAP sensor on the throttle body and block up the vacuum hose to prevent a vacuum leak.

If the vacuum hose in the your hand is plugged, then it's fine. Now unplug the connector on the firewall MAP sensor in the picture and plug this connector into the MAP sensor located on the throttle body.
