DIY aluminum intake box's
anyone have pics of how they made thier aluminum intake box's to keep the hot air out?
i wanna make one and was wondering how other guys did it.

I did this a couple of years ago. Ended up making a larger one that was a clone otherwise.

damn, that looks pretty nice in those pictures... if i had an intake box, i'd try something like that..

I had the most ghetto looking air intake on my civic when I first bought it. Everything was from homedepot and then I threw on a filter and wrapped the whole thing in heat reflective tape. But you know it worked really darn good and gave my car a nice bit of power.

Thanks, 1.5. Yeah, I was pretty proud of it. It actually did pretty well on the Dyno, too. However, the AEM did produce more power (especially in the 4k range).
