Re: DIY 96-00 Honda Civic Tune up and fuel filter
Thanks for the suggestions! Sadly I do not have an impact driver, and I tried the v formation with the wrenches, nothing. It's stuck on there like a fat kid to a Texas sized candy bar :/.
I'm going to see if any of my friends have impact drivers, and then if they don't I guess I'll have to take it in. Need to take it in for other reasons as well.

Not that its required but in this write up I used a battery powered impact to remove it just because it was easier.

Re: DIY 96-00 Honda Civic Tune up and fuel filter
big thanks to hondapartshero. i gave my 2000 honda civic lx a (mostly) tuneup today. i had the same problem as jmills with my fuel filter. i got the top nut off by brute strength. the bottom nut isn't budging, though. i bent the holder that is attached to the body of the honda by trying too hard. hoping that a vice grip and some slight hammer taps will take care of that tomorrow. i also forgot to put some dielectric grease on the end of the spark wires that are connected to the the distributor cap. i also forgot to get a new rotor for under the distributor cap. i know that all of these are important, i am just wondering how important. can i pick up my kid from school tomorrow or should i drive as little as possible before i get the right parts? any help is appreciated! thanks!
