distributor rotor: screw not sitting flush, taps surrounding pastic once every turn?

im changing out the rotor, and the screw is not sitting flush. how big of a deal is this? should i exhange for another one or sand it down so that it doesnt tap the plastic surrounding when it rotates; it taps it once every turn.

Is it the oem screw? or did you replace it? if its the screw thats suppose to be there back it out and try not to cross thread https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

its the oem. I think the replacement rotor place for the screw is a little thick. is this a big deal? thanks for the input.

I would return the rotor for another or run without that cover.
