distributor question help please thanks
my distributor is making a grinding/high pitch squeal so i replace the cap/rotor with oem honda, but still making the noise.
so i did a search on HT and my timinmg belt deflection is good 3/16inch.
so i pulled out my distributor and the past post say to spin it by hand which i did. how freely is it suppose to turn. it makes the squeal noise when i turn it by hand still. does that mean i need a new distributor?
thanks

what has happened is the bearings in the dist. have gone bad. you can try to put some oil on them to wet them back down but it probably wont help. so you either need a new dist, or if you can find em just the bearings for it. hope that helps
