distributor help
I just bought a jdm d15b vtec, put it into a 92 dx hatchback, the car didnt start, so i started tracking problems, no spark, i used the dist. that came with the motor. i ran down the checklist in the chiltons book for testing the coil and igniter, the igniter tests all checked out, so i checked the coil as per chiltons. the coils resistance was within spec between the + and - terminals, the chiltons manual said the resistance should be between 13,200-19,800 ohms of resistance between the terminal a and the coil tower. mine tested at 9,100 ohms. so does this mean the coil is bad, or is it this way for the jdm dist. i have a td-42u dist and was told this was the right one, it bolts on and all, but no spark. has anyone ever had this problem, i dont know where to go from here. any help is appreciated. thanx
