Is the leak guard in the distributor required? Mine broke!

no its not.......but honda did put it there for a reason.

alright cool. It cracked and fell apart as I changed the cap and rotor. It was so britle I don't know how it didn't fall apart already.

I doubt I'll be able to find that peice unless I find a donor/crapped out distributor.
