Default Distributor/crank angle sensor

Have '93 civic dx. Won't start, getting no spark. Coil and icm are ok, new cap, rotor, plugs. Somewhere I read that crank angle sensor is in distributor housing and that it may not be sending a signal to ecu. Price for new distributor is 300 but the housing, minus the coil and icm, is only 120. Would that solve the problem or is there more to it than that? Appreciate any help.

Default Re: Distributor/crank angle sensor (fox23)

Does anyone have a description of the crank angle sensor and where it is located? Is it replaceable? Again, thanks for any help.
