"What in the ebay dizzy install is going on here bat man"!! You are right, that does not look right. Im not sure how they even timed it like this. I will reserve my opinion on this and allow the certified techs to chime in for your answer but that does not look right at all mang.

vtec and non vtec heads have slightly different mounting surfaces. You got a non vtec dizzy on a vtec head or vise versa.

I see a vtec solenoid so I would say you do. Looks like everything is hooked up too. I cant believe someone put that dizzy on there. I've tried that to test spark on my boys car but it wouldnt fit and I thought there was no way possible. Jerry rigging at its finest. NICE

Came like what? A D16z6 head on a d16y8 block? No they didn't. They came with z6 heads on z6 blocks.

92-95 = d16z6
96-00 = d16y8

Correct

I can top that actually. I ran a DOHC ZC with a D15B7 distributor attached with vice grips to try it.

No, someone put an older Z6 head on a Y8 block. There is no correct OEM distributor. Put the guts of the Y8 distributor in a Z6 distributor case.
