Disk brake dust shields. With or without ??
My car: 99 civic dx hatch.
Just picked up a full LS disk swap front and rear and lca's in front and sway bars.
My dilemma is that I'm thinking about removing the dust shields. Should I? What's the pros and cons?
Also ordered ES bushings for front lca's,the sway bars and trailing arms. new ball joints too

I like the dust shields. They keep the cold water off the hot rotors when going through a puddle, to a degree anyway.
They definitely aren't needed. You almost never see them up here, most of them rotted off years ago.

Lol told you, there to block water, dust shields go between wheel and brakes think about it the air will prob blow even more dust onto wheel though so guess were both kinda right grumble

Someone also brought up a good point in another thread like this, that if your CV joint boot ever burst - this shield would offer brake system protection.
