Default Disengaging the "eee" sound when headlights are left on?

Hey,

You all know the sound when you accidentally turn your car off before you turn your headlights off. Ya, you know the sound I'm talking about. It sounds like Mini Me in Austin Powers 2 when he's hanging from a beam on the ceiling in Dr. Evil's secret compound on the moon.

Is there anyway to disengage that sound?

Thanks,

George

Why would you wanna disengage it? Mine doesn't work and I hate it. I've had to jumpstart my car twice in the past two weeks cuz I've left the lights on.

Well, I only use my lights at night or when it's raining so I can tell when I've left them on. Also, it's a PITA when my passengers complain about it. Overall, I just don't like it on.

Time to get some new passengers if they complain about a warning beep on a car...

Heres a thought.........turn your lights off. I know its really a pity that the car is preventing you from draining your battery, but I bet you can live with it. BTW, have you thought about laying under the dash and pinpointing where its coming from and then pulling the thing out? I've done it in other cars, and its like the size of a relay just plugged in under the dash somewhere.

So simple answer to a simple question. How do you stop it? You pull out the part that makes the noise. Makes sense doesnt it?

I can tell you how mine doesn't work, the sensor down at the door that tells that the door isn't working, so the buzzer doesn't know the door is open. That being said, the lights don't come on when I open the door either.
