disconnected battery overnight now the horn goes off and can't start
I have a 97 Civic with the keyless entry. I disconnected the battery overnight now when I install the battery the horn goes off and I cant start the car. I tried pressing the remote's buttons without success.
Please Help!!

why did you disconnect the battery? I think you may need to punch in the activation/security code in your console, (the radio/cd player) to restore your car. That's my guess.

I disconnected it because I was working with the a/c lines which is located behind the battery. Anyways I didn't think my Civic had a factory alarm.
Anyone else have any suggestions??

when you say the horn went off, do you mean like a continuous HONKKKK, or a honk, slight pause, honk, repeated...?
Also, did you disconnect the negative terminal or both ends to the battery?

maybe i can help u, i'm in orlando. is it a factory keyless entry or does it look like an aftermarket alarm? pm me, i'm an installer at circuit city and probably have done more alarms in a month then most installers would do in 3 months

constant honk, and yes I disconnected both terminals
