Dimming Lights.....What is the problem????
My problem is that when I drive down the road my lights both inside and outside the car dim (flicker) a lot. I cant figure out why this is happening. I can even feel the effect of the electricity drain on my engine. It seems to strain it a little. What could this be? Ive heard that the headlight connectors themselves go bad and cause the headlights to dim but its not just the headlights.
Ive replaced the alternator, checked all fuses, and checked all relays in the
car. My next step is to re-do all the main grounds.
Any help please...... I really need to figure this out!!!!!

Any cel's? I had the same symptoms and i was throwing an ELD cel. Turned out that my secondary o2 sensor wires were being exposed and rubbing up on some metal. Taped them up and it was good to go

I would drive to the store you got the alternator from and ask them to test it. I just replaced my alternator a while back with a "new" one and it lasted about a month and went bad. So, just because its new doesnt mean its any good.

all you need is a grounding kit for your electrical system
something like $60 to $140
Good luck
BTW can anyone tell me how I can get out of this NOOb stuff

checked the output of the alternator. eveything is fine. theres gotta be a drain of power somewhere. its been doing this for like the last year. even with the old alternator....
anyone else?
