Ok, another electrical question. I'm running all the above gauges (Autometer Cobalt series). I have the lights hooked into the switched leg right now. So the lights are always on. I was too lazy to find me a power source switched by the light switch. This weekend I plan on fixing that.
My question is....could I run those 4 gauges off the interior dimmer switch? Anybody know what the voltage range of that switch is? Also, do the autometer gauges need to full 12V to work, or can I run them off say 8V coming off the dimmer switch and just have a dimmer light? That didn't make much sense. If I run 8V to them are the lights going to stay on and just be dimmer or anre they going to shut off because they don't see the full 12V they need to run? There, much better.
Anyway, help is once again appreciated.

Eh, nevermind. Found the wire. Red and black coming out of the dimmer switch. And from the looks of it somehow the honda dash is bass ackwards. Voltage goes down the lights get brighter. Weird. So my gauges get brighter but my dash gets dimmer and vise versa. I'm probably going to order me a seperate variable resistor through radio shack and wire them up that way.
