Cold Fyre

Last night when I got in my car I started it up and I noticed that one of my gauges was at the first color (of the 7 choices) this led me to believe that the memory wire had come loose. I left for home when I saw my dash lights flicker and then come on at full brightness. I had my dimmer switch set for lower brightness so something odd was going on. I turned the dimmer both ways and nothing. On the way home however when the car would hit a bump or anything sometimes the lights would shudder like the dimmer was working again.

I'm probably gonna take out the switch today and see what's up but if there isn't a wire loose there, where else should I look?
