Different IACVs?

Different IACVs?
so i was all excited last night because i went to the junkyard and pulled an IACV for 40 bucks. i was thinking this was gonna fix my problem. no my IACV check engine light popped back on after i reset the ECU. so i thought i pulled a bad IACV. so i called advance autoparts and was gonna price an IACV out. well it turns out their computer is showing 2 part numbers. this had me curious. so i pulled the "new" IACV off my motor and well it had a different part number than my bad IACV. my old one had a blue denso label with the number 52 on it. the "new" one had a purple denso label with the number 54 on it. my car is a 98 CX D16y7. my question to your guys is, will having the different IACV make it not work on my car? everything bolts up the same. the "new" IACV came off another D16y7. should i go to the junkyard and pull another IACV for 40 bucks that has a blue label and see if it works? anyone else ever run into this problem?

No thats the FITV or w/e
The IACV is behind the intake manifold
I'd say buy a new one, if it doesn't solve the problem, return it back

the junkyard will not take back the IACV. and neither will advance autoparts if it looks like it has been installed.

how can the y8s be the same as the y7s? i thought they had different intake manifolds. see the third post in this thread https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1717320
and im wondering why advance autoparts is showing 2 different part numbers

Advanced will if they gave you the wrong part that for some reason doesn't fit
edit:
16022-P2E-A51 $242.85 cx auto
16022-P2A-J01 $185.98 cx manual
Dunno where they're getting the third one from...

SoSoLow needs the 16022-P2E-A51 IACV
16022-P2A-J01 is for a D16Y8 manual 2 wire IACV, don't listen or believe autopart store numbers there never as accurate as say Majestic Honda online parts store

the user interface isn't quite as friendly but the pics they have are better than any others. click on zoom in twice and it pops up a bigass image...

Re: Different IACVs? (miahmouse)
okay just to update. went to the junkyard and pulled yet another IACV with the SAME part number (blue denso label) as the stock IACV that came on the car when i bought it. my cell has not came back on and i have driven her for awhile and i have also let her sit and idle for atleast 30 mins (bleeding coolant). so i think i have solved the IACV problem. but i still have not solved my idle problem. once the car warms up, she idles from 1000 to 2000 rpms. when driving around *sometimes* she will hold a constant 1500 rpm idle when sitting at a stoplight or something.i bled the coolant and have checked for vaccum leaks. no leaks that i can see and the coolant looks to be bled. what other things could make the idle constantly do this surging at warm up?
