Different Header Types
What is the difference in performance between a 4-2-1 header and a 4-1 header? Which one would be better for a 97 Civic HX?
TIA

Depends on what you're looking for... a 4-2-1 will give you a better increase in your low+mid range rpms. Good, usable street power. A 4-1 is built for top-end high rev power. I personally run a 4-2-1 on my daily driver 93' hatch.

you're the n00b... one is asking about 1 peice vs. two peice, and the other is asking about a 4-2-1 or 4-1. two totally diff't questions!
If you look at dyno charts, you shall see 4-1 is > 4-2-1 almost 80% of the time. Yeah, the power is a little higher up, but the area under the curve is greater which means better better better!
Don't ask for opinions, cuz you'll get told wrong. Look at the dyno charts for yourself!
