I want to get a new trim level decal from Honda. There is 2 different part #s with 2 different prices. Does anyone know what the difference is?

75723-SR4-A02ZE STICKER, RR. (TYPEVA) (DX) $11.89

BTW, does anyone know how to remove the old/peeled/chipped sticker from the paint without damaging the paint?

One is a sticker the other is a actual badge type thing. Like the 96-00 civics had.

As for removing the old one, my guess would be a heat gun or a few hours with a blow dryer.

But why would the 96-00 decal be in the 92-95 picture?

BTW, wouldn't a heat gun burn the paint? Maybe a blow dryer, but I don't think a heat gun.

I don't mean the one FROM the 96-00 civic, just one like it. It's just a guess though. I'm not sure.

As for the heat gun, if you do it slowly and at a low heat setting it should be fine. If you are worried about it though go with the blow dryer. It's up to you.

The 92-95 civic emblem is ugly. Just get the civic sticker, or just run debadged. but you can take a razor blade to it and it will come off.

The badge is for sedans, the decals are for coupes/hatchbacks. Also, there are various shades of gray for the "Civic" decal. The lighter gray is for darker colors and the darker gray is for white cars.

What color is your car? If it's white, get the VB. If it's not, get the VA.

Razor blade to the paint? Uhm, no thanks.

I can't run without badges, because I have 10 year old paint. My "H" emblem sheared off in a high wind thunderstorm we had a couple of weeks ago and the nice red paint that was behind the emblem is CLEARLY visible, from any distance. I can't imagine having the Civic emblem removed and the DX sticker as well.

I've tried color enhancer, scratch remover, polishing and waxing, but to no avail. I rather have it stock than it looking like ****.

that's an incredibly difficult sticker to get off, as it dries after years of sitting in the sun. there's basically a honda fossil on your deck now, which will give you much trouble coming off. i think i used a razor to score the old "sticker" lightly then soaked it with various solvents and let it soak for a while...then started picking and scraping with my nails. it took forever but did come off. i then cleaned and waxed the area and applied the new sticker.

i didnt care too much about the finish because it was a 10+yr old car and the paint was shabby.

A lot of shops that paint cars or do decal work have a decal remover. It looks like a big pencil eraser that fastens into a drill.
Took mine off in 30 seconds, can't even tell it was there. Charged me $5 to do it.

is it really that hard to tell?

look at the pic.. then think of hondas you see.. u see some cars with just a flat sticker, then u see others with a plastic badge... the more expensive one is a badge.. u can clearly see the shadow

i had no idea u could buy these things from honda... my civic si sticker is pretty worn out, might have to get a new badge and paint my car

My "Civic" is an emblem. It comes out of the body, it's a plastic piece, #14 in the pic. The "DX" is a sticker though.
