Difference <<< BODY STYLES >>> 96 cx compared to 99 dx
Whats the difference between a 96 cx compared to 99 dx. I know the front bumper, hood, and fenders are different. I know that the cx, and dx have different center consol climate controls (PS: are they interchangable?). But thats all I know.. Is there anything else?

Also I noticed they dont make exhausts for the cx either. Only for dx 96-99... Is that correct? What engine does the cx have?

dont make exhaust for the cx?
where did you hear that
outside wise just the front end is diff...of course dx has painted spoiler and a rear wiper
96 -98 hatches have a hatch release...theres so many small things just to much to list
climate control...cup holders...just diff stuff

I looked on ebay all they had was exhausts for dx 96-00... Go look for yourself, says nothing about cx's.

96-97 had the hatch release inside the cabin,..98-00 had it removed
96-98 had different taillights than the 99-00

where is the cat located on the dx? i know the cx has it on the actual header. that should be the only difference is exhaust length.

so all you gotta do is get DX Headers/Cat/Exhaust and your fine.

the cx has a horrible 1.5l 70hp engine. gets incredible gas mileage, but its agonizingly slow.

96-98 hatchbacks you could pop the hatch,has different console w/ cupholers that had a pop up cover and a place for the radio(interchangable). taillights were red,orange and clear.
99-00 hatchbacks you can't pop the hatch from inside,have to manually open it.also has a different console w/ cupholders(interchangable).taillights were red and clear.
