Default Difference between an OEM and aftermarket IAC valve

I am looking for an Idle Air Control Valve for a D16y8. I have done a fair amount of research and fortunately, like any part with the 96 - 00 year civic, the part is not interchangeable(sarcasm) So i either need a b16 IAC valve, or an HX from what i hear. ANYWAYS I was wondering if its worth it to cut the cash out of my wallet and get an after market IAC valve? I've seen some cheap no name brand ones on ebay for like 30 bucks. Auto zone sells OE replacements for 130 bucks. Honda has it for almost 200. So what would be a good idea? has anybody ever had problems with after market ones? thank you

What brands does the auto parts store have it in? Personally I would get one through napa, they have good warranties and good prices

brands like BWD, unknown brands that Oreilly and autozone carry haha napa? the city by the bay area? I went to pick n pull to see if i could score myself one but every single civic with a D16y8 is already stripped. i don't know whats so special about the y8 but everybody seems to take it like if it were gold.

IIRC OBD1 D-series will also fit along with most B-series IACVs (Type R wont)

Most of them are the same. I forgot to mention it, but VX isn't, the distance between the mounting ears is longer. ITR/CTR is shorter, but the rest are mostly interchangeable.

the thing is when i look at them, the female park of the plug looks totally different. mines is a circular one. and the others i see are more rounded rectangular shaped

All The OBD1 D-series and OBD1 and 2 B-series have a round plug. D15B7, D15B8, D16Z6, B16A, B17A, B18A1, B18B, B18C1 should all work.
