The difference between a DX and an EX....?
I have a 98 civic EX that has a custom Apexi exhaust on it, I am getting a 96 civic DX and I want to know if I could put the exhaust on it.
They are both 2 door coupes.
Just wondering if the catback exhaust would fit. I looked at the part numbers on the site I got it from and one is 162-KH01 and one is 162-KH05...

Why would u wanna trade an ex for a dx?
Ex is power window and sunroof and its faster. And yes your catback will fit perfectly

Well if I didn't wreck the EX then I wouldn't want to trade but yeah. So if I just pull the full catback off it will fit on the DX?

No. The DX cat is integrated into the exhaust manifold. The EX cat is located under the car behind the engine. You do the math.
You'll have to swap the entire exhaust from the EX onto the DX - including the header, cat, and catback. I believe you'll have to extend an O2 sensor wire as well (someone correct me on that if I am wrong).

Thats correct. I had to use all ex exhaust components on my DX

Crap I don't think I can do that, because the insurance company is taking my EX tomorrow and I won't have the DX until Tuesday and the insurance company wants a car that has full parts.
All I can do is pull the custom off the EX and put the stock back on.

I guess what I might do is just sell the custom and then use the money to buy the same one for the DX.
