Difference between 93 EG spindles vs LS?
So today I went to replace my rotors and brakes today but come to find out when I bought rotors for a 93 civic ex the rotors wouldn’t fit over the hub. The ones I bought were smaller then the ones that were on the car.
So I returned the ones I bought and ended up getting 93 LS rotors and they fit and were the exact rotors. When I bought this car 4 years ago i guess they had replaced the spindles with LS ones.
My question is why would someone replace them with LS ones ? Is there any benefits ?

EX civic should be the same 10.2" front brakes as on the Integra. The first ones you got were likely incorrect and for a CX/DX/VX etc.

that’s what I thought to ... but we even looked in the computer to verify the right part and they were the same size I got. We compared the LS and they were slightly bigger rotor & perfect match. I’m pretty confused lol

Parts store lookup is wrong, unless you're in Canada and looking up rotors for an EX sedan without ABS.
People generally run Integra spindles to run bigger front brakes. Integra and Civic EX spindles are nearly inentical, Same mounting points for everything and they used the same wheel bearings.Integra is slightly heavier though.

Re: Difference between 93 EG spindles vs LS?
I was just curious because I believe when I was putting my ITR calipers on my type s I heard the “right way” was to get the type r front end ***** and convert it all but then your offset changes. So I just wasn’t really sure what was going on with the eg lol! thanks again ! Like I said, it probably got packaged wrong and sold to me.
i hate autozone

Re: Difference between 93 EG spindles vs LS?
Actually I did some digging around and I have found out that according to autozone the 93 LS rotors are bigger than the eg. LS hub center size is 152.2 and the EG is 136.4.
My issue was the rotor wouldn’t fit onto the hub because the rotor center was to small. The LS ones are bigger and slipped perfectly onto my hub. I believe I really do have LS spindles

Look at an actual Honda/Acura parts lookup (available online).
- 1993 Civic EX front rotor: 45251-SCC-901
- 1993 Integra RS/LS/GS/GS-R front rotor: 45251-SCC-901
1993 Civic EX and 1993 Acura Integra are both the same rotor part numbers:
- 3295
- 3295DG
- 31029DG
- 3295GT
- 45251SK7A00
