Default Difference between 46920-S04-A01 & 46920-SR3-A01 Clutch Master Cylinder

When I look up the clutch master cylinder part number for my car on a Honda website, I get the part number 46920-S04-A01, but I also see the SR3 part as being compatible on Ebay. The price for the S04 is double, because I haven't seen the Nissin aftermarket part listed. Are they the same?

Also, do I need to be concerned about fake/counterfeit Nissin Chinese parts?

edit...This is a 1999 Civic Si, by the way

S04 is for the EK's and 96-97 Del Sol.

SR3 is for the EG's & 94-95 Del Sol.

I can't tell you if they are compatable though. You could give it a try. Last time I purchased one AutohausAZ.com had the SR3 for a good price.

You can find Nissin S04's in Adler brand boxes. Amazon has 1 in stock. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...=46920-S04-A01

Thanks for the help and the link. I'm wondering if the one on Amazon is the SR3 compatible Adler that you see everywhere else, though. It's not sold directly from Amazon. This one is tempting:

92 00 Honda Civic Integra Made in Japan Clutch Master and Slave Cylinder | eBay

I've noticed that the slave part number is the same for EG, EK and Integras. The middle number for the master is different on all three. I don't mean to seem cheap, but I hate paying a premium for the same part in a Honda box.

I think the proper question then would be: Is anyone using an SR3 unit in their EK?

I know this is an old thread but for future use, here is the answer. Both are identical except for the the hose fitting. S04 is bigger than SR3 wich make them not interchangeable.

On the left, S04, on the right SR3. You can see the fitting for the hose is not the same size.

Edit: I came accross that issue because in honda parts # catalog it says 96-97 del Sol use S04 but it is wrong... it is a SR3.
