difference between the 2000 civic trim lines?
ey, i'm from the accord forum, but i had a question. my friend has a 2000 civic HX 5spd, and was wondering wat the difference was between the hx and ex and such. if i recall, the ex and hx have the same hp, but i'm not really sure. any info would be great. thanks in advance!

In the United States, the 1996-2000 Civics had six different vehicle grades (CX, DX, EX, HX, LX, and Si (1999-2000 only)) and four different engine types (D16Y5, D16Y7, D16Y8, and B16A2). D16Y5 is a 115 horsepower SOHC VTEC-E engine in HX coupes. D16Y7 is a 106 horsepower SOHC engine in all CX, DX, and LX Civics. D16Y8 is a 127 horsepower SOHC VTEC engine in all EX Civics. B16A2 is a 160 horsepower DOHC VTEC engine in Si coupes.
