Default difference b/w b series turbo kit and d series turbo kit

i believe only differnces are manifold and piping. for revhard and drag kits, price for d and b series are not much but for greddy kit, there's more than 1000 difference. what's the reason for that?

maybe they figure if you can afford a DOHC hondacura over a SOHC civic, you can spend an extra $1K? i don't know.

yes the manifolds would be different as well as the piping...

I'm guessing bigger turbo's or different Brand/kind......internail vs external wastegate.....top horse power rating?? etc etc..

both greddy kits use mitsubishi turbos, internally wastegated.

DOHC--tdo5-18g
SOHC--tdo4-15g

hp rating shouldn't have anything to do w/ it. obviously the DOHC kit will pump out more than a SOHC. that wouldn't justify a $1000 price difference. maybe the bigger 18g really is a grand more than the 15g. who knows. Ask greddy and see what type of marketing business answer they give.

Pretty much the manifold..Friend if mine bought a single cam turbo kit for his bubble whichhe has a b16 in and just sold the single cam manifold and bought a new Dohc manifold and everything bolted up fine...He had to do some custom rigging with the pipes but nothing that cost over $50...

Here's a simple comparison from Greddy.

SOHC kit:
Includes - Cast Mani, FCU, Air Intake, piping, hoses oil lines and misc. hardware.

B16 DOHC kit:
Includes - Cast Mani, FCU, 320 cc inj, Air Intake, piping, hoses oil lines and misc. hardware.

Besides the bigger turbo and manifold, the DOHC kit has injectors. Could also be the volume of kits too....does anyone have any idea how many SOHC kits they sell vs. DOHC? Maybe its that misc. hardware section that really changes the price!

Where did he got the piping job done? Did he do my himself?
