Why not? if its a complete bbk, then it replaces everything right? Will EX brakes fit on the DX?

so the only diffference is the rotor and the caliper. so if I get exrotor and caliper they will bolt right up to the dx hub

No, you'll have to get the EX steering knuckle as well. The caliper bolts onto the knuckle in a different spot on the ex obviously because the rotor is larger. Just get GSR brakes up front if you're doing all that.

Unless the big brake kits come with adapter plates to extend where the caliper normally sits on the knuckle to accommodate the larger rotors... nothing.
Knuckles are easy to change depending on how much skill you have. I changed out my driver's side on my EK in about 45 minutes on the ground at 30 F in the snow.

Yea we arent talkin about puttin EX brakes on a DX. THat was just an example. So how well do the GSR brakes fit on the DX? can he just buy the GSR BBK?

Re: differance between dx an ex front brakes (TrizzyDizzy)
you need to get the whole knuckle from the ex because the brackets (ex) will not fit ont the dx knuckles. ive tried. close fit but no cigar. the dx rotors are 9.2 and the ex are 10.2. plus what kind of power are you pushing a aem big brake upgrade is a waste of money unless you are running less than like 250hp unless your just going for looks but if you have the money you should do it i guess, heck i would if not i would just get like cross drilled/slotted rotors and sick pads, also i think theres a few cheaper big brake setups out there.

Let's say the GSR BBK came with rotors, pads and calipers. This is a BBK intended to be put on GSR's, so that's what it is made to fit. If you put front steering knuckles from a GSR on your civic, you will be able to use the GSR brakes that go with them, therefore a BBK upgrade to the stock GSR brakes will work as well, but it'd be kind of pointless. I'm sure the upgrade from stock DX brakes to stock GSR brakes would be sufficient.
I did a quick search and found this thread to help out also.
