Did not cut bump stops.....
 
I lowered my car a few months back and never cut the bump stops. What do thet do and what will happen if I don't cut um???

they prevent your strut from bumping up against your shock tower, or bottoming out. if you dont cut them, depending on how low you are, you will be riding on your bump stops and this creates one hell of a nasty ride quality. it basically takes your struts out of the equation.

It also depends on your springs. When I was running H&R Sports, the instructions specifically stated not to cut the bumpstops. So check with your spring manufacturer first.

I got s-tein springs, lowered about 1.5 to 1.75". Should I cut it. It is a harsh ride.

I got ground controls and they said cut the last notch of the bumpstop off, i still hit it tho. I am gonna cut one more notch off and if that dont work im gonna extend the shock travel..
