Did i store my engine good?
well here is a picture how my engine is stored in the garage. I'm not sure if i should be concerned about the pressure plate bing in touch with the tire? Realysticly i'd say it's o.k., but then i'm having second thoughts if i'll bend something by leaving it that way.
I plan to use that clutch and flywheel quite soon and the motor is just a spare, i'll eventually build it.

P.S.
I expletive*ng hate dropshots and imageshack, i'm just wasting my time and the pictures still don't work. I'll try it a bit later.

Doesn't look like it's that big of a deal to store a motor. When I just got my old motor I left it outside under the deck covered with a blanket all through fall, winter, and spring. Dropped it in over the summer and cranked up screaming drive me hard till you hear vtec. IMO as long as its covered I think it should be fine.

I have my 18c1 short block just sitting on the garage floor for about 4-5 months now. I just sprayed wd on the piston tops and sleeves to keep them rust free. My d16a6 block has been on an engine stand for close to a year. Debating on taking that to the scrap yard.
You should be good. I have a F22 on a tire that is pushing a year in my garage. Not counting the couple tranny's and a6 shortblock sitting in my shed as well.

Re: (unsaved)
What i do with motors that i knwo i wont use for a while is saran wrap them up. Although i keep the oil in them, and then i leave them on the floor. That way they dont dry up and the floors not going to hurt them. If its a motor im going to use soon then i just leave it alone, if its a bare motor i spray it with WD40 and wrap it.

If its in a garage I don't even cover them. You may want to put a capfull of oil or so in each cylinder if its going to sit for extended amounts of time. It looks pretty funny when you put the engine in a car and it burns 4 capfuls of oil when you first start it
