Did I do wrong?
My buddy has a Mugen N1 chipped P28 OBD1 ecu and he couldn't use it with his crvtec. Well, he could, but it would be all wrong. So I traded him my jdm P30 ecu for it. Is the trade okay? Or did I mess up??? Tell me what you all think.

Re: Did I do wrong? (blackANESE)
skunk 2 intake manifold
b&m fpr and gauge
dc 4-1 jdm type r headers
intake
2.5" cat back exhaust
Chip is the N1 Mugen
All I know is that it gets rid of speed limiter/ sets rev limit to 9500 / and makes the fuel curve better i guess.... I don't really know that is why I am asking.
Peace

Why can't he use the Mugen chipped P28 ecu anyway?

Re: Did I do wrong? (Katman)
he is trying to get a chip for the p30 for his b20. He said that this Mugen N1 was based on the 1.6. I dunno... Didn't make much sense to me either. So that is what I am trying to figure it out.

Like I said, the Mugen/P28 program works great on 1.6-2.0L engines. See if he'll go dyno compare the P30 ecu to the mugen P28 ecu and he'll see the difference.

i think some people still don't understand that a chipped P28 means it no-longer has anything to do with the original engine it was made for.
tell your friend the P28 is big vtec ready regardless what printed on it or where it came from.

Re: Did I do wrong? (Katman)
Well, he is a buddy that knows way more than me. His turbo'd crvtec is hitting the 12's and he knows way more than me. So I can't refute what he says. I tried, but like I said, I didn't get it. He isn't like a good friend, we just know each other from racing and he works at a big racing shop here in town. Anyways... I made him promise me that if anything went wrong, he'd give mine back. I have the conversation saved. Anyways... I guess I came up.
