Did A D16 Swap Into My 95 Civic Yesturday Have A Few Questions! (2 Issues)
alright so i just finished swaping in a D16Z6 everything went fine and well got the car running and then i found my first issue....i threw a C.E.L cant figure out why im throwing it car seems to be running fine..and theres no leaks or nothing so.... and the 2nd is that 5th gear is sticky...having a bit of a hard time going into 5th u have to let the clutch out a bit and push it into 5th at the same time it wont just slip in....just thought id ask on here...thanks a bunch guys!

for the tranny ..make sure the tranny fluid is at proper level...mater and slave cylinders are good..

the motor came out of a hatch and it was fine in the hatch so... i dont know i wonder if it had something to do with the car sitting for a month not being driven that made it all stiff or something....the cylinder resovior is full so i guess will see what happens

i think im gonna check the fluid its weird thou how it was all fine in the hatch...but when i put it in my coupe its acting up maybe i lost a bit of fluid thou i wondered if the fact the hatch hadnt been driven in a month maybe it got a bit stiff and just needs to work its self out again.... ??

doesn't seem like you added tranny fluid after did the swap, when you take out the axles to pull the motor you are going to lose some fluid, add some fluid before you toast the tranny

Either didn't fill up the trans enough - or the 5th syncros are worn...
As far as the CEL - there's a stickied post at the top of the 92-'00 civic/del sol page - go there - it's easy to check - takes 10 minutes if you've never done it before.
