Did 91 ex master cyl swap and brakes now feel worse
So, my master cyl finally went bad and decided to get the larger bolt on from the 91 ex. so after bench bleeding, and bleeding all of the air out of the system...i drove around and now my braking feels weaker...ill push it down as far as i can and its far less aggressive than it used to be...this is a 92 civic with 95 integra 4wdb conversion and axxis metal master front and rear pads...any idea of what could be wrong guys?

i forgot to mention...brake pedal pressure DID increase and there was less slack in the pedal...its just even at full braking the car doesnt slow as fast...braking isnt as aggressive as it once was

Do you have a 40/40 PP? or using your stock one? Also how exactly does the pressure feel? Soft at the top then you feel a pressure on the bottom and it brakes good, no pressure at all, stiff as hell pressure with no stopping, other (explain)?

no 4040 valve...it wouldnt make much of a difference since stock is 3030...anyways there IS pressure...a bit more than before with less slack...but u know how when you push the brake as far down as u can it comes to a point and stops...well with my previous brake master it would feel as if the further i pushed to that point the more braking i had...but now its like i hit that point and the braking power isnt nearly as good as it was...like ill press the pedal down to the stopping point...and the braking feels like 2/3-3/4 pedal depression with the previous master

yes...why would a different proportioning valve made a difference? it just proportions how much fluid goes front biased to rear...4040 should be the same as 3030

Re: (dc2vu)
PP allows the fluid to travel to a certain extent. A 3030 will flow less then a 4040 would. You have a stiffer peddle because you upgraded to a bigger MC (11/16 (?) to 15/16).
