so im still troubleshooting my idle. just set the idle from the throttle body screw by unplugging the IACV, idle then dropped to about 500 when unplugged. reset the ecu, started her up and let the car warm. it idles fine at about 800 unless i touch the throttle at all. if i touch the throttle, on the way down it stays at about 1100 rpms, its really bugging me. already cleaned out IACV, and FITV and screwed the white screw in further. dont see any unconnected vaccuum lines so im stumped

its not fluctuating, just sitting at 1100 right? tps perhaps?

well sometimes it flutters but then will sit at like 1100 and then if im stopped it will drop down to about 700-800

check timing. if timing is correct could be head casket. i ran into this issue a while back. i check everything until i finally figure out my head gasket melted to pretty much nothing. put a new gasket on. problem ran away.

try checking timing. could be timing if you already done what you stated.

Check your dashpot/decel diaphram on the TB. It connects near the throttle cable.
Check it to see if it holds a vacuum and also check the vacuum hose tee to make sure it is not plugged. Note: the tee has a vacuum limiter in it.

But first, Does your throttle cable have a little play? It needs to have some for the dashpot to work correctly. The dashpot keeps the throttle open a little on decel's to decrease vacuum in the manifold.

When it works correctly you will notice that when you blip the throttle the rpm's don't just drop to 750 they drop to 1100 then decrease to 750.

when i do blip the throttle to lets say 1500 rpms it does drop to lets say 1100 and then drop back down to normal idle. but sometimes it sticks at 1100 and feathers
