DelSol water leak from the roof
Hi guys,
I recently got a delsol and want it to use it as a summer/project car. Saved up some money for some rims/body kit/ and stuff like that but two days ago. Where I was living was raining pretty hard. So when i was driving it was F**King leaking like mad. i knew there was a leak but it was just BAD BAD. I been looking at this forum but i only found post about trunk leak but nothing on roof leak. A lot of my friends just told me to put mad sealing cone.
anyway i putted some sealing cone on still leaking, by any chance will someone give me some tips where am i suppose to seal it up or take some pic or something?
if you guys want i can take pic where i placed my sealing cone but still not helping. If someone can tell me what to do that will be nice.
Thanks for reading guys.

Re: DelSol water leak from the roof
I think you mean Silicone.. Your best bet is to completely replace the seal where the leak is coming from. If it's dry rotted nothing will help but a new one.

Re: DelSol water leak from the roof
had a 94 del slow si it also leaked, putting silicone grease on the seals helped also helped the squeking top that made noise over ever bump.honda dealers applied this as instructed by honda to stop leaking.look at seals closely for cracks i think the 96 up seals are better designed to prevent leaks switching to newer style will help u out.

Re: DelSol water leak from the roof
I could be wrong but I think the seals on the 95 were the first year with the better design. If you can find the replacement seal/s you need on ebay, great, otherwise you're going to dig deep if you have to go through a dealership.
Whatever you do, go back to your local dealership and invest in the Shin-Etsu Silicone grease Honda Part# 08798-9013
